I have been a heavy computer user since I was 9 years old playing Roller Coaster Tycoon. I was fascinated by what computers could do and learned everything I could. Before I knew it, people would ask me for help with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. and I would solve their problems with ease. I considered this service of debugging people's desktop apps totally disrelated to my future career. However, a lucky turn of events led me to where I am today.
I committed passionately to helping non-profits and started off with a Data Entry position. Shortly after my hire, the company I was working for was in dire need of HTML/CSS work. They had tons of new designs coming in by management but not enough developers. I apprenticed under a few guys and began my first role in development. I became obsessed with the perfection of our sites and put in a lot of volunteer hours because I loved it so much.
I continued learning from others and from online tutorials and courses and eventually became the person in charge of ensuring all deployments would execute smoothly. I never was satisfied with the work given to me, and I always proposed conversion optimizations, landing page tweaks, and implemented these.
My next adventure was diving into the world of Amazon.com and using the same technology and statistics-driven approach to Amazon as to tech. My wife and I rapidly grew our E-commerce business into a mulit-million dollar business and love what we do. We also love helping other seller succeed on Amazon, and developed a Software called Samurai Seller which helps manage ads for Amazon sellers.
I consider myself to be extremely lucky to have made it into my dream career, and then made it yet again, but this time into an even bigger dream of a very profitable business that helps people live healthier and happier lives.
